Adobe has released an update for Photoshop Lightroom that will bring the application to version 6.4 or CC 2015.4, depending on the kind of license. The 6.4 update adds lens profiles and new cameras, and corrects a problem where Nikon cameras could not be used in tethering mode on a Macintosh running MacOS X El Capitan.

The Lightroom CC 2015.4 update adds an interesting new feature in the panorama merge. The dialog box now contains a ‘Boundary Warp’ slider, which allows you to warp the resulting panorama so that the typical curved upper and lower edges are straightened. It’s not the same as the ‘content aware fill’ feature in Photoshops ‘merge to panorama’ which adds pixels to the edges, but it has the same effect. It means you don’t lose pixels anymore because you need to crop the panorama, so keep ‘Auto Crop’ unchecked.
